Linkorama Friday 2nd July

Andrew Garfield As Spiderman, More Scream 4, And No, Johnny Depp ISN'T The Doctor...

Today seems like a bit of a slow day for news, even if I am an hour late to type this up...perhaps more will fall into my tractor beam later this evening?

Andrew Garfield As Spiderman

So after all the rumours of Jamie Bell and other well known actors taking up the role of Spiderman in the reboot, Sony have stuck to their promise of taking on a relatively unknown actor to play the lead role. Andrew Garfield has appeared in two episodes of Doctor Who (Daleks In Manhattan and Evolution Of The Daleks), along with a few other pieces (details in the link). The more I hear about the Spiderman reboot, the more I'm interested. No Toby Maguire, no Sam Raimi, and no Emo Dancing...

Multiple Man in X-Men: Frist Class?

Over at ComicBookMovies, a rumour is brewing of Multiple Man making an appearance in X-Men: First Class. The character made a brief appearance in X-Men: Last Stand, seemingly unaware of who he was really working with, so either this'll screw up the continuity or First Class is a reboot to the entire series (I honestly hope it's a reboot, as the series steadily got worse).

Mary McDonnell And Alison Brie For Scre4m

Yes, I just said Scream 4 as "scre4m" because, apparently, that's how they're doing it now. Down with the kidz, and all that...Well, the cast list for "scre4m" has gained two more members today, Mary McDonnel (Battlestar Galactica) and Alison Brie (Mad Men) are set to make an appearance, though it isn't confirmed who they'll be playing.

Johnny Depp ISN'T Who

As we all though, Depp won't be appearing as Doctor Who in any sort of film, thanks to SFX for confirming with Russell T. Davies. It was interesting to speculate about, but not really believable.

Latest Shots From Pirate's 4

Over at Pop Sugar, the latest on set shots of Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow have been made available. For your ease, just scroll down:

  1. A reboot to the X-series would be very welcome indeed, the did rather bugger it up with those three awful films >> (and me being me and the obsessed fangirl I am - THEY RUINED GAMBIT and wth? Rogue/Iceman?) *ahem*
